Booking Lifecycle and Audit Trail

Run every booking through a clear lifecycle and see exactly who changed what, and when, on an append-only audit trail.

Overview

A booking is only as trustworthy as the record behind it. The Booking Lifecycle and Audit Trail concept is designed to give operators and travelers a clear view of where every booking stands, and a dependable history of how it got there. The design envisions a bookings area that follows each reservation through confirmed, checked in, completed or cancelled, and an operations queue where any booking's full history is one click away.

The first illustration presents bookings as end-to-end operations. A lifecycle strip across the top explains the states, confirmed, checked in, completed and cancelled, each with its own icon. A bookings dropdown, a date filter, a bookings search and a Filters button sit above a list of booking rows that mix stays, guided tours and event tickets. Each row carries a photo, a reference code prefixed by booking type, the listing name and location, dates, guests and the unit booked, a colored status pill, the price and a menu for more actions such as cancelling. Pagination and a rows-per-page selector close the list, and a Create booking button sits at the top.

The second illustration turns to operations. An operations queue groups bookings into pending, confirmed and checked-in tabs with counts, and offers a filter by reference or guest. Its table lists reference, item, guest, status, scheduled time and an Audit trail link. Opening one shows a dialog with a vertical history: the booking created as pending, then confirmed, the listing verified from in review to active, and a check-in attempt blocked with its reason, each entry stamped with the acting account and time. A footer notes that the trail is append-only and that guest contact details and special requests are redacted from the recorded payload.

Side panels summarize assistant usage for the month and how access rules, workspace isolation and usage limits are enforced. Together, the screens show how GGNomad is designed to keep every booking accountable from the first click to the end of the stay.

How it works

  1. Open Bookings to see every reservation with its current lifecycle status.
  2. Narrow the list with the bookings and date filters or a search, and page through the results.
  3. Use a booking's more-actions menu to take the next step, such as cancelling.
  4. Switch to the operations queue and pick the pending, confirmed or checked-in tab.
  5. Filter by reference or guest and open a booking's audit trail.
  6. Read each recorded transition, who made it and when, including any blocked action and its reason.

Bookings with Lifecycle Status

Every booking across stays, tours and events, with its place in the lifecycle at a glance.
